Federal construction intelligence

Built for contractors who compete to win.

Why ContractStack exists

SAM.gov lists every federal construction opportunity in the country. It's also notoriously difficult to use — dense, slow, and built for procurement officers, not contractors.

Enterprise tools like GovWin IQ solve this, but at $1,000+/month they're priced for defence primes, not a roofing crew or an electrical sub trying to grow their federal book of business. For the small contractor, there was no middle ground: fight with SAM.gov or pay enterprise rates.

ContractStack is the middle ground. We take the same federal procurement data, strip out the bureaucracy, and add the competitive layer SAM.gov never had — award history, market activity, and firm-level intelligence — at a price any contractor can justify.

What the platform does

ContractStack is a focused tool. We do a few things well.

Data methodology

Transparency about how we source and handle federal procurement data matters to us.

Direct from SAM.gov

All solicitation and award data is pulled via the GovCon API, which interfaces directly with SAM.gov — the official U.S. federal procurement database. Every record maps to a real procurement action. We don't scrape, estimate, or infer.

Updated every day

Our sync pipeline runs daily. New solicitations appear on ContractStack within 24 hours of posting on SAM.gov. Award records are backfilled 18+ months so you can see long-term market trends, not just recent noise.

No synthetic data

Every dollar amount, awardee name, and contract date is a real federal procurement record. We don't generate AI-fabricated market estimates. When data is unavailable for a market, we say so.

Coverage: All construction NAICS codes (Division C, 236–238 series, and adjacent trades) across all 50 U.S. states and territories. Award data backfilled 18+ months. New solicitations indexed within 24 hours of SAM.gov posting.

Frequently asked questions

Where does ContractStack's data come from?+

All contract and award data is sourced from SAM.gov via the GovCon Developer API. Solicitations, award records, awardee names, amounts, and agency details are pulled daily and stored in our database. We do not generate, estimate, or synthesize procurement data.

How current is the data?+

Our sync pipeline runs daily. New solicitations typically appear on ContractStack within 24 hours of being posted on SAM.gov. Award records are updated on the same cycle. Historical data goes back 18+ months.

What construction trades does ContractStack cover?+

We cover all construction-related NAICS codes — electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, general building, civil, demolition, painting, flooring, masonry, and more — across all 50 U.S. states and territories.

Who is ContractStack for?+

ContractStack is built for small and mid-sized construction contractors who compete for federal work — companies doing $1M–$50M in annual revenue that bid on Army Corps, VA, GSA, or other federal agency contracts and need a faster, smarter alternative to manually checking SAM.gov.

How is ContractStack different from GovWin IQ or ConstructConnect?+

GovWin IQ starts at ~$1,000/month and is built for large defence contractors and proposal teams. ConstructConnect focuses on state and local commercial construction. ContractStack starts at $49/month and is purpose-built for federal construction — with plain-language trade filtering, award intelligence, and deadline alerts designed specifically for that workflow.
